The Resort
Le Touessrok is one of the world’s great romantic resorts. Sensuous and chic, it is the essence of cool, modern elegance basking in the cultural warmth of tropical Mauritius.
The resort is set on a beautiful stretch of white-sand coastline overlooking the tranquil Trou d’Eau Douce bay. On the mainland are the rooms and suites, pools, restaurants and bars, Givenchy Spa, tennis and the kids club.
Across the water are the resorts two islands: Ile aux Cerfs, with its spectacular championship golf course designed by Bernard Langer, and Ilot Mangénie, an island retreat exclusive to guests, both a short ride by private boat.
Timeless are the white sand beaches, the blue Indian Ocean, the offshore island retreats, the star-filled nights and warm-breeze days. The resort is located on the east coast of Mauritius, 50 minutes from the airport, 50 minutes from the capital Port Louis, and 20 minutes from the sister resort, the Le Saint Géran.
Guest Rooms
Le Touessrok offers a range of ultra-luxurious accommodation spread out over the resort. On the mainland are the Hibiscus and Coral Wings, and Frangipani Island also offers accommodations. The Hibiscus Wing consists of 37 deluxe rooms, 32 Junior Suites, the Royal Suite, and 3 new Villas. The Coral Wing has 31 deluxe rooms and a Junior Suite, and on the private Frangipani Island, there are 92 junior suites and 6 Ocean Suites.
The Hibiscus Deluxe Rooms represent the more affordable level of luxury at Le Touessrok yet are beautifully furnished and feature the latest in-room technology and expansive views of the Indian Ocean. The Hibiscus Junior Suites are modern, cool and contemporary with nuances of the tropics through decorative design features, including carved wooden screens and colourful Mauritian artwork adorning the walls. They feature huge bay windows with sweeping sea views, luxurious furniture and fittings, soft Egyptian cottons, vivid Cashmere throws, and huge King or Double Queen sized beds. The Coral Wing faces east towards Ilot Mangénie, affording guests perfect sunrise views. All the Deluxe rooms have contemporary furnishings and look out over the sun-drenched sea - the epitome of cool tropical luxury. The Junior Suite offers more spacious living areas, perfect for entertaining. It also boasts fantastic views perfect for relaxing.
On Frangipani Island, light, air and space create the perfect place to relax and enjoy the privileges of the spacious Ocean Suites. Each of the six new contemporary Ocean Suites offer 126 metres of living space with a separate roomy lounge, private dining room and two secluded terraces which lead off the sumptuous master bedroom. These suites are perfect for families, as they interconnect to the Junior Suites. The Junior Suites are cool and contemporary featuring tropical decorative designs including carved wooden screens and colourful Mauritian artwork. They also feature huge bay windows overlooking the ocean, luxurious furniture and fittings, soft Egyptian cottons, vivid Cashmere throws, and huge King or Double Queen sized beds.
Located on the mainland, the 3 new private villas have each been individually designed with private landscaped gardens and terraces, an infinity edge pool and panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The villas have a contemporary feel with touches of tradition such as the vaulted wooden ceilings, porcelain tiled floors, handmade rugs and thatched pavilions for private dining. Each of the villas features 2 Master King Bedrooms and a Double Queen Bedroom. Master Bedrooms also offer spectacular sculptured stone bathtubs and private walled gardens with waterfall showers.
Facilities
An extensive programme of cabaret is presented every evening, with a live band for dancing. The complimentary water sports are based at lle aux Cerfs and include canoeing, kayaking, laser sailing, hobby cats, pedalos, glass-bottom boat trips, snorkelling, unlimited water-skiing and windsurfing, and aqua gym classes. Other sports facilities include an 18 hole course on lle aux Cerfs, 4 floodlit tennis courts, bocciball, football and volleyball, professional tennis coaching, scuba diving, big game fishing, parasailing, big banana ride, horse riding (pony rides for children), bicycles to hire, cruises, and speed boat trips. Guests dining at Le Touessrok have an unprecedented choice of cuisines and locations, with two restaurants set on the mainland overlooking the pool and beach. Additionally guests can also cross the connecting bridge to dine on Frangipani Island, or take a free taxi boat to the Ile aux Cerfs or Ilot Mangerie for lunch at one of the beachside restaurants. Drinks, snacks, tropical fruit and a light a la carte menu are available on both the main beach and on Frangipani Island meaning you never have to leave your sunbed! The resorts main restaurant Three-Nine-Eight features nine different cuisines set on three levels, with eight spectacular open kitchens. Barlen's Restaurant and Bar on Frangipani Island offers contemporary Japanese cuisine, whilst Safran is the resort's newest Indian restaurant offering the exotic creations of the Michelin-starred Chef, Vineet Bhatia.
