It’s no secret that I am a HUGE fan of safaris in Africa and wildlife in general. I first went to Africa in 1991 and my first experience of a tented camp was one called Crocodile Camp in Tsavo. It was fairly basic but to be honest it could have been a tent you put up yourself in the New Forest for all I cared, I was hooked! During the first night I heard some animal noises quite close to camp which turned out to be a lion kill by the entrance to the camp. That morning we went for a bush walk and I must confess my adrenaline was running on full when we walked past the kill site! Particularly when I look back and think that the guide only had a bow and arrow!

Going on a safari became a regular event in my life thereafter. I needed to have my Africa ‘fix’! Those that have been will know what I mean.

If you’ve never been before and would like to experience a safari then this one that we’ve got below is a brilliant introduction. Tanzania is perhaps the most beautiful country in Africa and this tour will show you the best this country has to offer and will leave you with memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. Follow the Great Migration on the ethereal planes of the majestic Serengeti, watch lions roam on the prehistoric Ngorongoro crater, relax by the mountain lakes of the Great Rift Valley and dance with Maasai warriors.

If there was a particular holiday that I would recommend you add to you bucket list it is a safari. Don’t wait, Africa is waiting to say Jambo!
