Travel Insurance & Covid-19

What a whirlwind of a few weeks we’ve had. The outbreak of Covid-19 is unprecedented and we’re taking the advice of the Government very seriously. We’re, after all, travel experts and not virologists! The situation is changing hourly it seems. Only yesterday we learnt that the Vietnamese authorities stopped inbound travel from the UK, India have suspended all visas for travel up to 15 April, the US will most probably include the UK in their temporary travel ban in the next day or two.

There are various scenarios that could play out in the event of trips & flights not going ahead but it is important you have travel insurance in place before any FCO advice is given for countries where only essential travel is advised. Please can I ask everyone to make sure they have correct travel insurance in place now. Don’t leave it. Our advice is always to book insurance when you book your travel but understand this isn’t always possible. Right now we are in contact with all our clients and looking at changing dates and unfortunately cancelling trips altogether.

If you have any questions about where you might stand if you can’t travel then please do write or call us. we would be happy to help with any advice, even if you haven’t booked with us. It’s a time to stick together and help one another we feel.

Stay well, keep washing your hands.

Best wishes

Steve
